Attack on Fastiv railway station: train services have been diverted and cancelled (list)

Ukrzaliznytsia has published a list of trains that will operate on shortened routes or will temporarily stop running altogether.

Overnight, Russian occupiers launched a targeted attack on railway infrastructure. Specifically, the Fastiv junction station and commuter rolling stock were damaged.

“There were no casualties, but commuter train service is affected, and we are making operational changes for the next 24 hours,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted .

The carrier detailed that the movement of suburban routes from the capital is limited via Motovilovka station, from Kazatin via Kozhanka station, and from Mironovka via Fastov-2 station.

Instead of the Kyiv-Fastiv-1 routes, a Kyiv-Motovilovka shuttle service has been organized.

“Regional train No. 892 Fastiv – Slavutych is being installed on the Boyarka – Slavutych route; the schedule remains unchanged,” the statement reads.Read also:

Trains will temporarily be suspended between Zhytomyr and Vasylkiv. Specifically, this applies to the following routes:

No. 6491 Fastov-1 – Zhitomir;

No. 7034 Zhitomir – Kyiv-Pass. (Suburban);

No. 7037 Kyiv-Pass. (Suburban) – Zhitomir;

No. 6042 Vasilkov-Center – Kyiv-Pass. (Suburban);

No. 6041 Kyiv-Pass. (Suburban) – Vasilkov-Center;

No. 6046 Vasilkov-Center – Kyiv-Pass. (Suburban);

Also, due to the forced replacement of rolling stock with Chernihiv stock, there will be temporarily no service between Chernihiv and Slavutych:

No. 6851 Chernigov – Slavutich;

No. 6854 Slavutich – Chernigov;

No. 6853 Chernigov – Slavutich;

No. 6856 Slavutich – Chernigov.

“We are maintaining service in the region as much as possible and ask that you closely monitor updates on UZ’s official websites,” the carrier told passengers.
