“A couple of weeks before the start of the war, they came through Belarus to be close to Kiev. According to Grozev, at the beginning of a full-scale war, the killers were very inspired, because they had confidence that they could easily do the most “beautiful” and victorious part of the war, namely: capture or kill the top political leadership of Ukraine. But their plans were thwarted, and their mood changed.

“We followed the communications of several members of this team. And it was both scary and funny: scary because we saw what their goals were, and funny because every day they became less and less jingoistic, they began to criticize the leadership for bad planned operation. They first wrote to their wives that they would stay for a week, then for two weeks, and then for a month, six months. They began to doubt the fidelity of their wives, you can write a novel about this, like a team that had to ensure victory for Russia in a week , became psychological victims of their own war,” the journalist added.

Grozev noted that some of them were eliminated, while others returned to Russia and began planning sabotage actions.
