The General Staff of the RF Armed Forces introduces military censorship without declaring martial law, Arestovich noted.

The criminal prosecution of rashist “military correspondents” is an attempt to purge the General Staff of the Russian Federation in response to criticism of the FSB. 

This was stated by the adviser to the OP Alexei Arestovich in a conversation with Mark Feigin.

“Putin is ready to burn everything in order to achieve his goals. He does not feel sorry for thousands of lives. Why do you think he is burning everything in search of the guilty? Because all previous measures have failed. In search of the guilty, those who framed his biggest and most important defeat in life, will he look for the guilty in Russia? This search for the guilty will constantly become tougher, “Arestovich said.

Arestovich compared what is happening in the Kremlin with the repressions of 1937 in the Soviet Socialist Republic.

“We are dealing with the new year 1937. The purges will be inevitable, cruel and deadly. It is inevitable. Because Putin has chosen the path of escalation inside the country as well. The most devoted servants of the regime will be put under the knife,” the OP adviser added.

The arrests of propagandists mean one more thing, Arestovich noted. 

“In fact, this is an element of military censorship, which is introduced by the Chief of the General Staff. And an element of military censorship is actually an element of martial law. That is, the Russian Federation introduces elements of martial law segmentally without declaring it. Why? Because the economy and the social sphere are not coping with the tasks which put before them the military-political leadership. The system is not brought to modern realities, does not meet the challenges of war. They will not cope. History has shown that it is impossible to carry out unprepared mobilization. It is doomed to failure in advance,” he explained.

The reason was the criticism of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and personally Sergei Shoigu during the “special operation”.
