An explosion occurred at the central train station in Augsburg, Germany , on the morning of September 2. Two people suffered minor injuries – local media reported that they were a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy from Ukraine. After the discovery of a suspicious object, the station was completely closed and train traffic was stopped.

The explosion occurred in the passageway of the central station building near a bank. It also damaged windows.
The police officially reported two minor injuries. The local newspaper Presse Augsburg specified that two Ukrainian citizens were injured – a 17-year-old girl and an 18-year-old boy. According to journalists, they received minor acoustic injuries.
Initially, law enforcement officers surrounded the station building and the first track, while the rest of the tracks continued to operate. Passengers were asked to use the south and north entrances.
Suspicious object found after explosion
Later, the situation changed: law enforcement officers discovered a suspicious object and completely closed the station building. Train traffic was stopped.
Specialists from the Bavarian State Criminal Investigation Department were involved in the investigation.
