Almost 400 apartments and more than 20 architectural monuments were damaged in Odesa as a result of the night attack of the Russian Federation

Monuments of architecture and town planning, history of local importance suffered as a result of the enemy’s night attack on Odesa.

As reported in the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications, the list includes:

– the building of the Technological Institute, in which a detachment of sailors-reconnaissance of the Odessa Defense District was kept during the defense of Odessa (1936-1938, architect A.B. Minkus);

– the building of the Richelieu Lyceum (Novorossiysk University) (1852-1857, architect A.S. Shashin);

– Zarifi residential building (1840s, 1851, architect M.M. Cherkunov, F.I. Morandi);

– Kovalevsky’s residential building and wing, in which Verygo B.F. lived. — physicist, professor (1846, late 19th century, architect Dallakva K.I., Shashin A.S.);

– Mashevsky’s residential building, in which A.I. Koptyukh was born. (1850-1860, architect F.V. Gonsiorovsky);

– Tolstoy’s profit house (1880, architect F.V. Gonsiorovsky);

– the profitable house of Latri (1st half of the 19th century);

– a tenement house (end of the 19th century), in which V.M. Malyshevsky lived. — Polish composer, conductor and teacher;

– Michelson’s profit house (1890, architect L.L. Vlodek);

– profit building (1901, architect P.D. Tokarev);

– a dormitory building (beginning of the 20th century, architect L.M. Chernihiv) (right-turned building);

– the residential building of Vurgaft, in which Yampolskyi S. lived. M. – economist, founder of the Faculty of Radio Electronics of the Odessa Polytechnic Institute (1845, architect I. S. Kozlov);

– residential building in which lived: Lange M. M. – a psychologist; Burkser E. WITH. – inorganic chemist and geochemist; Bobynin M. M. – mathematician (1845, architect I. S. Kozlov);

– the building of the Institute of Physics and Chemistry of Novorossiysk University (1897-1899, architect M.K. Tolvinsky);

– Inber residential building (“Savoy” hotel) (1870s, architect L. L. Vlodek);

– Rink-Wagner residential building (1881, architect A.K. Veitko);

– Vesle apartment building (1881, architect D. E. Mazirov);

– Leonardi apartment building (1913, architect V.I. Prokhaska);

– administrative building (part of the “Weinstein’s Mill” complex) (1888-1890);

– the building of the Weinstein School (in the “Weinstein Mill” complex) (1896);

– historical monument of local importance: Duryan’s House (Victoria Hotel with a steam bakery).

Meanwhile, the press service of the Odesa City Hall noted that as of 5:00 p.m., almost 400 apartments in the city were affected:

– in the Primorsky District — 295 apartments in 35 buildings;

— in Khadzhibey district — 79 apartments in 8 buildings;

— in the Peresypsky district — 18 apartments in 5 buildings.

In Khadzhibey and Primorsky districts, the inspection of apartments is still ongoing.

They added that people whose homes were damaged as a result of the attacks of the Russian Federation receive targeted financial assistance from the city budget for the installation of new double-glazed windows and entrance doors.

As of November 1, 2023 and 2024, 2,253 people received financial assistance in the amount of 67.5 million hryvnias.
