Thousands of Russians came to say goodbye to the main figure of the Russian opposition.

Oleksiy Navalny was buried in Moscow . Thousands, if not tens of thousands of Russians accompanied him on his last journey.
As the BBC reports , the oppositionist was buried at the Borysiv Cemetery in the south of the city. The coffin with the body was lowered into the grave to music from the song My Way by Frank Sinatra and the melody from the movie “Terminator 2” – Navalny loved this movie, which he admitted many times.
In addition to political associates, Navalny’s parents were also present at the ceremony. Wife Yulia and their children with Oleksiy were absent from the ceremony – they are now in Europe, because they are afraid of persecution by the Putin regime.
Navalny was buried
As evidenced by numerous videos on social networks, thousands, if not tens of thousands, of caring Russians came to say goodbye to the politician. They chanted “No war” and “Putin is a murderer.”
The crowd at Navalny’s funeral
Only a small number of outsiders were allowed directly into the cemetery. The rest, who came to see the oppositionist on his last journey, left flowers at the spontaneous memorials around the cemetery, in particular at the entrance to the nearest Borisovo metro station.
The media reported that the police detained several people from the crowd that came to the ceremony.
The death of Alexei Navalny
As UNIAN wrote, on February 16, the Russian authorities announced that the imprisoned opposition leader Oleksiy Navalny died in a correctional facility in the Arctic. The Kremlin has not given a clear cause of death, claiming that Navalny died of natural causes.
Oleksiy’s wife – Yulia Navalna – accused Vladimir Putin personally of her husband’s death and promised to repay the dictator.
For a long time, the colony’s leadership refused to hand over Navalny’s body to his mother, blackmailing her and demanding that she agree to a secret funeral. In the end, her body was given to her relatives.

It’s a silent protest, by mere presence. Still, somewhat risky for those who stood in the queue, since the regime may retaliate. So, lotsa respect for those Russians who made a stand there!
😐👍
Apparently many groups in mafialand were educating would be attendees “how to go to a funeral and not get arrested”.
Ha! Yeah, like “funeral, what funeral? Don’t they sell pork here?”
😁

45 arrests ain’t many, but certainly no fun for those brought to the Lubyanka. ☹
