The Ukrainian pilot managed to eject, after which he was hospitalized.
While repelling a Russian morning attack with strike drones, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost a Su-27 fighter jet. The Communications Department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on the social network Facebook .
“On the morning of April 28, 2025, while performing a complex combat mission to provide air support to troops and repel an air attack by enemy strike UAVs, an Air Force Su-27 fighter was lost,” the report says.
In this regard, a specially created commission, which has already begun its work, is investigating the causes of the incident.
“The pilot successfully ejected, the search and rescue team arrived at the landing site in a timely manner, the pilot was taken to a medical facility for diagnostics. His life and health are not in danger, his condition is stable,” the report said.
