US leader Donald Trump will use the topic of sanctions during a meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in Alaska this Friday.

Bessant stressed that Trump will make it clear to Putin that “all options are on the table” regarding the potential easing or strengthening of sanctions against Russia.

“He will make it clear to President Putin that all options are being considered,” Bessent said.
