After long-range strikes by the Defense Forces, Russian military aviation has a shortage of kerosene, — GUR

August 29, 2026

Systematic and precise strikes by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on the Russian oil refining network led to a significant reduction in the production of aviation kerosene in Russia

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate.

The Kremlin’s desire to increase the pace of air attacks on Ukraine and the need to support civilian transportation have caused a shortage of domestic resources, Ukrainian intelligence officials indicate.

To meet the needs of military and civil aviation, Russia, which has positioned itself as an energy superpower for decades, has officially introduced a temporary ban on the export of its own aviation fuel and is forced to look for ways to import foreign Jet A-1 aviation fuel.

Ukrainian military intelligence has established the geography of supplies of foreign aviation fuel and maritime logistics schemes involving tankers of the Russian shadow fleet, captains of foreign countries, and companies related to meeting the needs of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Three tankers of the Russian shadow fleet have already delivered 70,000 tons of Jet A-1 fuel from South Korea and Egypt to the Russian ports of St. Petersburg and Vladivostok.

These are the HANNA vessels, which sail under the flag of Panama and are under sanctions by Ukraine, the CAPIBARA (flagged by Indonesia and are under sanctions by Ukraine) and the Russian vessel ASTORIA, which is under sanctions by the UK, Ukraine, Australia, the EU, Switzerland, and Canada.

ASTORIA, under the command of Captain Andrei Mikhailovsky, delivered almost 11 thousand tons of aviation fuel to the Russian port of Vladivostok from the port of Ulsan in South Korea in early August this year.

HANNA, under the command of Captain Gagan (an Indian citizen), and CAPIBARA, under the command of Captain Refly Johnny Sumual (an Indonesian citizen), in August 2026 delivered a total of almost 59 thousand tons of aviation fuel from the Egyptian port of El Deheila to the terminal of JSC “Petersburg Oil Terminal”.

  1. Screw the Wildberries and Ozon warehouses. Ukraine must destroy every last oil refinery it can reach, and oil depots, oil hubs, and oil terminals. This is the very best way to cripple the mafia shithole and its decrepit, evil military.
