Two bears were saved; information about the dead zoo inhabitants is being clarified.

In the city of Yevpatoria, in the occupied Crimea, the Tropic Park zoo with exotic animals burned down, more than two hundred animals died in the fire.

“The fire started at about three o’clock in the morning, it was only put out by 7 am. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the rapid spread of the fire was facilitated by a large amount of hay, which was, in particular, in the enclosures,” reports Dozhd.

It is specified that the fire area was more than 600 square meters. Hundreds of animals died. It is known that rescuers brought a woman and two bears out of the fire.

RosSMI also reported that more than 200 animals died; the fire was probably caused by a short circuit in the refrigerator wiring. During the fire, structures collapsed. The cause of the fire and the number of dead and injured animals are currently being determined.

According to open sources, the zoo exhibit featured more than 200 species of animals – primates, reptiles, amphibians, insects, rodents and birds. There was a terrarium, a petting zoo, etc. on the territory.

  1. One bad wiring, a whole zoo burns down. That’s a simile for the whole state of the Federation, me thinks. In the long run, this hellhole of corruption, ignorance and neglect can’t keep its rank among civilized countries and will eventually fall to the anarchistic level of Somalia. Can’t happen soon enough. 😈
