In the city of Chusovoy in Perm Krai, the bodies of a woman born in 1996 and her daughter born in 2017 were found with signs of violent death. This was reported by the regional department of the Investigative Committee.
Investigators opened a criminal case under the article on “the murder of two persons, a minor or another person, who is known to the perpetrator to be in a helpless state” (paragraphs “a” and “b” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The suspect is being sought. The Investigative Committee’s press release does not provide any details about him.
Local publication 59.ru writes that earlier in Telegram channels they published an alert about the search for a suspect in the murder of a woman and a child. According to the document, Artem Buchin is suspected of the murder.
In February 2023, Buchin was sentenced to 20 years in a maximum-security penal colony, he was found guilty of raping and murdering 23-year-old nurse Tatyana Rekutina. Her body was found on the outskirts of the city of Chusovoy. The investigation reported that Buchin, while intoxicated, met a drunk girl, took her to a deserted place and raped her. After that, the man took a stone and struck the girl on the head multiple times.
In August of the same year, Buchin went to war in Ukraine. In November, he returned to Chusovoy, having been wounded. He also received a pardon, his mother claimed and a source in law enforcement confirmed to 59.ru. “According to the current rules, in cases where participants have performed a heroic feat in the SVO or have been seriously wounded, they have the right to be sent home and be pardoned,” the source said.
According to Properm.ru, Buchin lived with the murdered girl, but was not the father of her child.
