Russia complained about another attack by Ukraine. Explosions on the night of December 29, in particular, were heard in Adygea.
The Russian military airfield “Khanskaya” near Maikop is under fire, writes the independent Russian publication ASTRA.
What is known
The publication noted that during the night, residents of Maykop reported explosions and an attack on the Khanskaya military airfield.
They also posted footage taken in the city that captured the sounds of gunfire and explosions. One of the videos was geolocated by ASTRA.
“The footage was shot from Novaya Street in Maykop. The distance from the shooting point to the Khansk airfield is approximately 6.5 km. The footage shows air defense operations, there is no confirmation that the airfield was hit,” the publication specified.

According to the ASTRA OSINT analyst, the air defense position, whose work was captured on video, is located southeast of the airfield’s runway.
“The direction of fire is east-northeast,” says the ASTRA OSINT analyst.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel also published footage from Maikop that captured the attack. They confirmed that the strikes were aimed at the Khanska airfield, and reminded that the Ukrainian General Staff had recently confirmed a successful attack on this facility, so it is possible that they decided to repeat the previous success.
Meanwhile, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 11 Ukrainian drones were “shot down” over Adygea overnight.

The Khanskaya military airfield in Adygea belongs to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. It is located approximately 3 km east of the village of Khanskaya and 6 km northwest of the city of Maykop. According to open data, the airfield is home to a training aviation unit – the 272nd air base.
The airbase can accommodate aircraft such as the Tu-134, An-12, Il-18 and all lighter ones, as well as helicopters of all types.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that the day before, the General Staff confirmed the defeat of the Syzran Oil Refinery.
Ukrainian soldiers also reached a number of other enemy targets, including a storage and maintenance site for unmanned boats in the Chornomorske area (temporarily occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea), a repair unit from the 1435th Motorized Rifle Regiment near the settlement of Antratsyt (TOT of Luhansk region), a pontoon crossing near Nikonorivka, and a storage facility for Shahed UAVs in occupied Makiivka, Donetsk region.
