Former official of the presidential administration Oleg Govorun owns real estate worth more than two billion rubles. This is stated in the investigation by The Insider.
As the newspaper found out, in 2018 and 2019, Govorun acquired several apartments in the House of the People’s Commissariat for Finance in Moscow with a total area of 2,071 square meters. The Insider estimates the minimum threshold for their cost at 1.68 billion rubles.
In addition, in 2018 Govorun’s wife bought a mansion with an area of 947 square meters in an elite village in the Moscow region; its cost is estimated at 400 million rubles.
As noted by The Insider, in the declaration Govorun noted that he had acquired real estate at the expense of personal savings.
Since 2009, the average annual income of an official has amounted to 18 million rubles. Even taking into account such considerable earnings, to acquire the objects discovered by The Insider, the Talker would have to save at least 115 years for them.
