The cargo terminal at Odessa International Airport will open in 2022, said the general director of the airport Volodymyr Semenchenko.

“We have agreements at the level of letter of understanding, which allow us to discuss, without fixing any rights and obligations, but confirming interest, with the largest European freight operator. We are now in almost daily dialogue on technical issues – the terminal is being formed, its volume and structure, “said the general director of the airport.

“It will definitely work in 2022,” he added.

According to Semenchenko, the project of the cargo terminal will be implemented for private investment, but their volume is not named yet, as it depends primarily on the requirements of future tenants.

“There will definitely be a cooling zone, a zone of dangerous goods, and the necessary equipment is calculated from their volume,” the general director of the airport added.
