February 3, 2026

On the evening of February 3, explosions rocked Belgorod and the Belgorod District (Russia), followed by a massive power outage. Local authorities complained of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The alarm sounded in the Belgorod region around 7:00 PM on Tuesday. Propaganda groups reported “pops.”

Soon, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced that Ukrainian forces had “launched
missile strikes” and acknowledged the attack’s effectiveness.”
There is serious damage to the infrastructure facility. All emergency services are on the ground,” the official posted on social media.

Local Telegram channels reported a blackout in Belgorod and parts of the Belgorod region.
Power and water were lost, and there were communication issues. Residents formed long lines at gas stations to stock up on fuel.

Beloblvodokanal reported that all water intakes in the regional center, the pumping station supplying Khargora, and “some wastewater disposal facilities” were without power.

Similar problems occurred in the Rakityansky, Krasnoyarsk, and Yakovlevsky districts, as well as in Shebekino and Maslova Pristan.

As OBOZ.UA reported, Ukrainian forces recently destroyed an enemy TOS-1A Solntsepek system for the first time directly on Russian territory, in the Belgorod region. This expensive and dangerous flamethrower system was turned into scrap metal by Ukrainian Armed Forces FPV drones.
