During the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of July 2, 90-year-old historian, scientist, and Head of the Association of Jews – Minors and Young Prisoners of Concentration Camps and Ghettos, Borys Mykhailovych Zabarko, was injured.
This was reported by the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman and journalist Shimon Briman, Censor.NET reports .

What is known?
The day before, a rocket hit the house where Zabarko lives. The body of the 90-year-old man was cut apart by shrapnel.
“[ Boris Zabarko] miraculously survived Hitler’s Nazis and ghettos, and now the Russian “liberators”. The man dedicated his life to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and testifying to the truth about crimes against humanity. And today, in the 21st century, he has again become a victim of terror – this time Russian! “, the chief rabbi wrote.

” The Russian hypersonic Zircon missile found an “important military target” in Kyiv yesterday – a peaceful multi-story building, where 90-year-old Boris Zabarko, head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Minor Prisoners of Ghettos and Concentration Camps, lives. As a child, he survived in the Shargorod ghetto, where he was saved by a Ukrainian family. He escaped from the Nazis – and was hit by a Nazi missile. Boris was wounded by shrapnel in his legs, his house was badly damaged. I have the honor of knowing Boris Zabarko for several decades – he is an extremely intelligent person, historian and editor of a two-volume book of memoirs of Holocaust survivors in Ukraine. Who could have imagined that Hitler’s work would be continued by the Putin regime after 80 years… “, wrote Briman.
