74 missiles and hundreds of drones flew into Ukraine: Air Force reveals scope of night strike,

In total, the Russians launched 358 air attack vehicles.

On the night of July 30, starting at 6 p.m. on July 29, Russian forces launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine using 358 air attack assets – 74 missiles and 284 UAVs of various types. This is stated in a report by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the main direction of the attack was the Kyiv and Lviv regions. Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions were also attacked. 

“The peculiarity of the massive attack is the simultaneous use of air attack means of different types from different directions, the use of a large number of “ballistics” and cruise missiles,” the Air Force said.

According to the department, a total of 358 air attack vehicles were recorded by radio-technical troops:

  • 4 Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles (launch area – Kursk Oblast, Russian Federation);
  • 9 Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk regions of the Russian Federation);
  • 61 Kh-101/Caliber cruise missiles (launch area – Vologda Oblast, Novorossiysk, Russian Federation);
  • 284 attack UAVs of the Shahed type (including jet), “Gerbera”, “Italmas”, simulator drones of the “Parody” type (from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo of the Russian Federation).

“The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” the report says.

According to preliminary data, as of 9 a.m., air defenses had shot down/suppressed 320 targets – 55 missiles and 265 drones of various types:

  • 1 Iskander-M/S-400/KN-23 ballistic missile;
  • 54 Kh-101/Caliber cruise missiles;
  • 265 enemy UAVs of various types.

The Air Force noted that, according to preliminary information, as of 9:00 a.m., 3 anti-ship, 6 ballistic, and 2 cruise missiles were hit, as well as 17 strike UAVs at 20 locations and downed aircraft (fragments) fell at 13 locations. 

“Information regarding the eight missiles is being clarified. The attack continues! Several strike UAVs are in Ukrainian airspace,” the Air Force added.

Consequences of the Russian strike

As UNIAN previously reported, the invaders shelled Kyiv and the region at night . In the Obolonsky district, a fire broke out in a shopping pavilion on the territory of the market, one person was injured. In the Svyatoshynsky district, a fire broke out on the territory of a garage cooperative. The body of the deceased was found during extinguishing the fire. In addition, a man was injured and hospitalized. A fire also broke out in a five-story non-residential building in this area. Five people were injured in the Kyiv region due to an enemy attack, including one child.

The Russian airstrike on Lviv at night caused fires in residential buildings. As of 9 a.m., about 20 people were reported injured in the city. Mayor Andriy Sadovyi said rescuers are continuing to free people from the rubble. In total, more than 20 residential buildings, as well as a school and two kindergartens, were damaged.

In addition, there was a direct hit by an Iskander in a house near Kryvyi Rih, which ended the lives of an entire large family of Voronovs from the village of Radushne. Two girls, ages 5 and 12, and four adults were killed. Another 8 people were injured, including boys, ages 6 and 15.
