On the night of June 15, Russian occupiers launched a massive combined attack on Ukraine using attack UAVs and various types of air- and ground-based missiles.

The Air Force reported this . “The main strike direction was Kyiv. Missiles were also launched against Dnipro and Kharkiv,” the statement said.

In total, the Air Force’s radio-technical troops recorded 681 air attack weapons – 70 missiles and 611 UAVs of various types:

  • 6 anti-ship missiles 3M22 “Tsirkon” (launch areas – occupied Crimea);
  • 34 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas – Bryansk, Kursk regions – Russian Federation);
  • 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles (launch areas – Vologda and Kursk regions of the Russian Federation);
  • 611 attack UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, “Banderol” munition carriers, and “Parodiya” type drone imitators (from the following directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Gvardeyskoye, Chauda, ​​occupied Crimea).

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 08:00, air defense systems have shot down/suppressed 632 targets – 50 missiles and 582 drones of various types:

  • 5 anti-ship missiles 3M22 “Tsirkon”;
  • 15 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
  • 30 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles;
  • 582 enemy UAVs of various types.

“According to preliminary information, as of 8:00 a.m., 20 ballistic missiles and 27 attack UAVs were hit at 42 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (debris) at 12 locations,” the Air Force noted.

Night attack on Ukraine

The capital suffered the most damage, with damage recorded at nearly 50 locations. The shelling left part of the city without power. Four people have been killed and 25 injured, including two children and a pregnant woman. Additionally, high-rise residential buildings were hit in several districts of the capital.

In Kharkiv, while extinguishing a fire, the Russians launched a cynical follow-up attack, resulting in the death of five rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the injury of at least five more.

In Dnipro, a college building was destroyed by shelling. The famous House of Organ and Chamber Music was damaged. One person was injured.
