Nine children died as a result of the cynical attacks by the Russian occupiers on the city.

Emergency and rescue operations were completed in Kryvyi Rih at night after the cynical attacks by the Russian occupiers, said Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA.

He recalled that the Russian Federation hit the city with ballistic missiles, and at night attacked with strike drones.

Instead, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported that the city had experienced a “tragic evening and night.” Russia targeted residential areas and playgrounds.

“The Russians killed 19 people. 9 of them are children. This can never be forgiven! Eternal memory… As a result of the terrorist attacks, 68 people were injured – from a three-month-old child to the elderly. 40 people are currently in hospitals (two children, 5 and 8 years old, were taken to the Mechnikov Hospital in Dnipro in extremely serious condition), of the injured in our hospitals, 17 are in serious condition, including 2 children. Doctors are fighting for their lives and providing all necessary assistance,” Vilkul said.

He also added that 34 apartment buildings, 6 educational institutions, shops, business and infrastructure facilities, cars, and a private house were damaged. There is a lot of damage, so the data is still being verified.

Emergency services worked all night to eliminate the consequences of the strikes. By 06:00, tram traffic to Druzhba was restored. Some houses are without electricity and gas, but restoration work is underway.

Vilkul promised that none of the victims will be left face to face with the disaster, assistance will be provided to everyone. Despite all the difficulties, all services, public transport, hospitals and social institutions are working in Kryvyi Rih.

Vilkul also reported that days of mourning will be declared in Kryvyi Rih on April 7, 8, and 9 for those killed in yesterday’s Russian terrorist attacks on the city.

“Children, families, the elderly… Ballistic and shaheed strikes on residential areas and playgrounds… This is nothing more than a mass murder of civilians. We will always remember each and every one of them. This is our shared tragedy and pain,” he added.
