Drones attacked Ufa in Bashkortostan , 1,500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, last night. A fire broke out at one of the city’s oil refineries after the attack, and several landing points are reported online.

Thus, local residents reported drones and explosions, monitoring channels warned about the danger of UAVs in Bashkortostan. Later, the head of the republic announced the repelling of a UAV attack on Ufa and “smoke” in the industrial zone due to falling debris.
“We repelled another UAV attack on Ufa. Due to the debris of the downed drone that fell on the territory of the industrial zone, smoke appeared. All services are on site, promptly eliminating the consequences. There are no deaths or injuries,” he wrote.
There are three oil refineries in Ufa, and the Astra Telegram channel has established that Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim was under attack. There could have been several flights, and two columns of black smoke are rising above the plant.
Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim is an oil refinery located in the Northern Industrial Zone of Ufa and is part of the Bashneft group. The enterprise refines up to 8.2 million tons of oil per year, producing motor fuels, petroleum coke, liquefied gases, sulfur, and aromatic hydrocarbons.
Ufa is home to three powerful oil refineries, which are actually located right next to each other: Bashneft-Ufaneftekhim, Bashneft-Novoil, and Bashneft-UNPZ. They form the Ufa Oil Refining Complex, one of the largest in Russia. Its total capacity reaches 23.5 million tons of raw materials per year.
