Financed by russia to boot.

Only about 20 people or so answered Georgescu’s “call to the people” to protest against elections he himself tried to rig through #TikTok campaigns.

Georgescu signed up legally and began promoting himself on TikTok, just as he had been doing for the past few years

📈 However, right after the first round began, a week before voting day, a massive network of bots, numbering no fewer than 600,000(!), launched an extensive campaign for him, giving him an unfair and illegal advantage over his competitors

⚖️ According to Romanian electoral code, promotional texts during the campaign must include a special electoral marker to indicate a political campaign, which Georgescu failed to do.

Additionally, €50 million was spent by several individuals who received funds in cryptocurrency from a russian network operating out of South Africa.

Fooling 22% of the country to vote for a man they only knew from viral TikTok misinformation.

This is why the election was annulled.

☝️ All of this was shared and confirmed by Romanian #Intelligence services as well as TikTok itself, who banned millions of followers in response.

I hope everything is clearer now.

PS: this is also why many call TikTok a National #Security Threat.

PS2: the pro russian guys who tried to rig the elections are also known for making suspicious arm movements ✋️
