As part of the NATO exercises, the French will test a new military technique that should be useful in Ukraine.

This is reported by RTL.

As part of military exercises to be held in Estonia, NATO wants to demonstrate to the Russians that invading the Baltic states is “not a good idea.”

During the exercise, the French army will test the combat capability of the new FRAN group, which will be responsible “for going beyond enemy lines undetected, to provide reconnaissance and capture trenches.”

“The experimental unit, consisting of “ultra-stealth soldiers”, is designed to identify enemy trenches and “entry points” to these trenches with the aim of their subsequent capture, which is also part of the duties of FRAN fighters. The French military trains “in real conditions” and, according to the soldiers themselves, they are ready “to defend their Estonian ally,” the report says.

Soldiers participating in the exercise are able to hide in the bushes for long periods of time in camouflage clothing and use drone footage.

“The terrain in Estonia is similar to Ukraine and the wide eastern plains, so it is very interesting for us,” said Senior Sergeant Quentin.

  • On May 11, French President Emmanuel Macron clarified his statements about the possible deployment of Western troops in Ukraine, stating that the country does not plan to enter the war.

  1. Not sure what good this is for Ukraine, but maybe we’ll see. France has been piss poor about handing over military aid so far, and the idea about troops on the ground was only Macron’s wet dream.
