ZNPP reconnected to Ukrainian energy system – IAEA

Both ZNPP external transmission lines, the 750 kV line and the 330 kV backup line used to supply electricity from the grid, were repaired.

In the ninth month of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine , the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in Energodar was reconnected to the Ukrainian power grid.

According  to  the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), 750 kV power supply has been restored at all six ZNPP units.

“Both ZNPP external transmission lines, the 750 kV line and the 330 kV reserve line used to supply electricity from the network, were repaired, and reconnection began on Friday afternoon. Around 22:00, 750 kV power supply was restored at all six ZNPP units IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said.
