Zelenskyy spoke with Fico – Slovakia expressed its position on Ukraine’s accession to the EU

The President of Ukraine discussed European integration and the strengthening of bilateral relations with the Prime Minister of Slovakia. The leaders are preparing for a personal meeting in Kyiv and Bratislava in the near future.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with the Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, during which the parties discussed the development of bilateral relations and Ukraine’s European integration. This was reported by the head of state on Telegram, according to UNN.

According to the President, Ukraine is interested in strengthening cooperation with Slovakia, as well as in further support on the path to the European Union.

“We need to have strong relations between our states, and we are both interested in this. It was important to hear that Slovakia supports Ukraine’s membership in the European Union and is ready to share its experience of accession,” – Zelenskyy said

The parties also agreed on preparing a personal meeting in the near future.

“I invited the Prime Minister for a visit to Kyiv and thanked him for his invitation to come to Bratislava. Our teams will work on the schedule,” – Zelenskyy added
