Zelenskyy named all the children killed by a Russian missile in Kryvyi Rih

Zelensky also expressed disappointment with the US response to the Russian strike.

9 children were killed in the Russian attack on Kryvyi Rih . President Volodymyr Zelenskyy named their names on his Telegram channel .

“Three-year-old Timofey, unfortunately, died today in the hospital. Seven-year-old Radyslav. Arina, who will forever be 7 years old. Nine-year-old German. Fifteen-year-old Danylo. Fifteen-year-old Nikita. Fifteen-year-old Alina. Konstantin, who will forever be 16 years old. Nikita is 17 years old. These are the children who were killed by a Russian ballistic missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. It was only a few minutes after the launch from the Taganrog region into enemy territory,” Zelensky wrote.

He added that 9 adults were also killed in the Russian strike. Another 62 people, 12 of whom were children, were injured in the missile attack. Currently, doctors are doing everything possible to save the lives of these people, Zelensky said.

“The missile hit right on the street – around ordinary houses, a playground, shops, a restaurant. In addition to this ballistics, the Russians used strike drones against Kryvyi Rih yesterday – just during a rescue operation, during this grief for the people. As a result of the drone strike, 7 people were injured, one person died. There is simply no deeper cynicism, meanness, and hatred of people than those that Russia now represents,” Zelensky added.

The president thanked partner countries that responded to the Russian attack, but said he was “unpleasantly surprised” by the U.S. Embassy’s response to the tragedy.

“Such a strong country, such a strong people – and such a weak reaction. They are even afraid to say the word “Russian” when talking about the missile that killed children. Yes, the war must end. But to end it, we must not be afraid to call things by their right names. We must not be afraid to put pressure on the only one who continues this war and ignores all the world’s proposals to end it. We must put pressure on Russia, which chooses to kill children instead of a ceasefire,” Zelensky wrote.
