Zelenskyy approved the composition of Ukraine’s delegation for talks with Russia in Istanbul

The delegation will be headed by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has officially approved the Ukrainian delegation that will appear at the talks with Russia in Istanbul. Its composition differs from that reported by the media the day before .

The Ukrainian delegation will be led by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov. This is stated in Zelensky’s decree No. 306/2025, published on the president’s website .

The delegation also included:

  • Serhiy Kyslytsia – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr Poklad – Deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine;
  • Oleg Luhovsky – First Deputy Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine;
  • Oleksiy Shevchenko – Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Vadym Skibitsky – Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine;
  • Yevhen Shynkarev – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr Dyakov – Deputy Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Oleksiy Malovatskyi – Head of the Department of International and Operational Law of the Central Legal Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr Sherikhov – Senior Officer of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Heorhiy Kuzmychov – Protocol Officer of the Office of the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
  • Oleksandr Bevz is an advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

In addition, by this decree, Zelensky allowed the head of the delegation, Umerov, to make changes to its composition (with the approval of the president), as well as to involve employees of state bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, in agreement with their heads, scientific advisors and experts to ensure the work of the Ukrainian delegation.

  1. I have to disagree, too many people. Thats the whole defense leadership in one room. Bad idea. Could not be worse……………….and dont drink and eat anything.

  2. All that has to happen is for Serhiy to use his Ukrainian logic and twist that Russian logic into a prezel.
