President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine is set to pay an official visit to the UK on October 7-8.
That’s according to the press service of the President’s Office.
Zelensky is scheduled to hold talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, following which a Ukrainian-British agreement on political cooperation, free trade, and strategic partnership will be signed.
The parties will also sign a number of other bilateral documents on cooperation in the field of defense and financial support for bilateral projects.
During the visit, the president and First Lady Olena Zelensky will also meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
On the official visit’s agenda there is also Zelensky’s meeting with Lindsay Goyle, Speaker of the House of Commons of the British Parliament, as well as William Russell, Lord Mayor of the City of London.
The president will pay a visit to the London Stock Exchange and meet with British investors.

Good. I hope that a new, highly productive, symbiotic relationship can be carved out. Starting with a large free trade deal.
There are tremendous opportunities in multiple fields for both parties : continued/increased military cooperation, investment in :IT services, manufacturing, tourism/leisure etc.
Starting with Budapest.
The training programme for the military is escalating; at the Ukrainians request.
But implementing Budapest will require several divisions of crack troops, with full air support. Britain is the junior partner, but would definitely join in if requested by the US. No chance of that with Trump or Biden. We can’t even expect game changing sanctions unfortunately.
It would still be nice to finally hear the British position on the status of Budapest.
I don’t know what it is. Neither do I know what the American position is.
What Boris said in February 2018:-

That’s pretty weak, more like a history lesson but it is still more than we’ve gotten from D.C.
It’s weak in terms of response, but at least he has spelled out precisely what happened for the record and given his clear, decisive opinion. No ‘brand name’ politician other than John McCain has even gone that far.
Correction: I omitted the honourable Marco Rubio; my preference for US president.
I’ll get the Kettle on and order in some Salo.
If Britain was smart, it would use this opportunity to use this meeting to put Zelensky under pressure for his corrupt and pro-Ruskie behavior.
Boris and the government have been doing a brilliant job, especially when the opposition has been looking for anything to blame them with, this is totally disgusting and true dis-respect to the UK wide population.I think with those youngsters etc at University, it has stopped the house parties, private party’s, illegal clubbing etc, because in truth they were taking no notice of the rules while spreading it,while looking for anything or anyone else to blame it on or pretending to be confused? Its also been saving police time and money, giving them time to see and deal with criminal problems etc.I think Maybe if so many weren’t listening to those opposition party stirrers, they’d get to see whats really going on, and how hard Boris and his government has been working, instead of the mis-leading RUBBISH AND STIRRING coming out of the opposition mouth?
