The delay in the supply of weapons to Ukraine is Russia’s permission to take the lives of Ukrainians.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in an evening video message .

He noted that the 53rd day of the war ended.

“And on some points in our arms requests, we expect a response for 53 days, and some answers are formulated in such a way that deliveries can only begin in May. I say it straight in such cases: every delay in weapons, every political delay is Russia’s permission to take lives Ukrainians. This is how Russia interprets it, this is how it should not be in reality,” the president said.

Zelensky stressed that constant shelling of Kharkov continues. According to him, today the Russian troops hit, in particular, the streets of Culture, Shevchenko and Darwin.

“Apparently, these are especially dangerous words for Russia – culture, Shevchenko, Darwin – something that threatens their existence. Russian shelling, 18 people were killed, 106 people were injured,” Zelensky said.

At the same time, he stressed that this is nothing but “conscious terror” – mortars, artillery against ordinary residential areas and civilians.

Earlier, adviser to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak criticized Europe for the slow supply of weapons to Ukraine.
