President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian truck drivers who secretly delivered drones to airfields during special operation “Web” knew nothing about their role in the drone attack. The head of state emphasized that this way it is possible to state the unintentional actions of the drivers.
The president also emphasized that the operation was carried out exclusively using Ukrainian-made weapons. Zelensky said this in an interview with ABC News.
Zelensky said the drivers were unaware that the mobile cottages and other containers they were transporting were secretly equipped with drones that could attack Russian airfields and damage billions of dollars worth of military equipment.
During the attack, the drones used to carry out the attack were hidden in “mobile homes” with sliding roofs that were loaded onto trucks and then opened remotely to conduct the operation.
“They didn’t know anything. They just did their job,” Zelensky said of the drivers who brought the drones to the airfields.
