He believes that the Kremlin wants silence during the parade in Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy once again called on the Russian Federation to adopt a complete and unconditional ceasefire .

In an evening video address, he called the Kremlin’s announced three-day ceasefire, which will supposedly last from May 8 to 11, another attempt at manipulation. According to Zelensky, only an immediate and reliable ceasefire for at least 30 days can provide the basis for real diplomacy:
“For some reason, everyone should wait for May 8 and only then cease fire to ensure Putin’s silence during the parade. We value people’s lives, not parades. That is why we believe – the world believes – that there is no reason to wait for May 8. And the fire should not be stopped for a few days, only to kill again later.”
The President noted that efforts are still underway to restore gas supplies in the Cherkasy region. As a result of the Russian attack by the “Shaheeds”, civilian infrastructure was damaged.
“Russia once again struck an object that is not about war, but about people. This also happened against the background of the world’s demands for Russia to end this war, to establish silence. That is, every new day is new clear evidence that Russia must be pressured, and pressured noticeably, so that they, there in Moscow, are forced to end this war – a war that only Russia needs,” he added.
