President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has promised to make every effort to bring the Armed Forces of Ukraine up to NATO standards.
“That is why we will do everything to implement the much needed changes for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will bring them up to NATO standards by deeds, not words,” Zelensky said during a conversation with military personnel in the JFO area, which was broadcast live on the President’s Office Facebook page.

He stressed that the army should constantly develop, strengthen its combat capability and training.

“Our country exists thanks to you. Nobody will ever respect a state which does not support and does not take care for its army,” the President addressed the military.

The Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is marked today, December 6.

This depends on what NATO standards we are talking about. I would reckon Ukraine could already hold their own against half the countries in NATO. Joining NATO will have nothing to do with how capable the Ukrainian military is, but politics, and certain NATO countries scared of upsetting Muscovy.
Namely France, Germany and Hungary…
I’m sure the Germans will make sure it’s a clean fight. They do have plenty of brooms. LMAO
Up their asses. LMFAO!
NATO standardization doesn’t have anything to do with how capable the Ukrainian military is. It’s more about the ability of any given unit must be ready to dispatch on alert to any location where NATO forces are deployed and relieve them on a very short notice, without any extra training or equipment.
