Zelensky dismisses Air Force commander Oleshchuk

On Friday, August 30, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk .

The corresponding decree of the head of state No. 600/2024 dated August 30, 2024 was published by the Office of the President . “Dismiss Mykola Mykolayovych Oleshchuk from the post of Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the document says.

As is known, Oleshchuk was appointed commander of the Air Force on August 9, 2021. He replaced Sergei Drozdov in this position. Before that, Oleshchuk was the chief of staff – first deputy commander of the Air Command “East”.
