Podolyak noted that the number of sabotages, unidentified explosions and fires is growing in the Russian Federation.

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, told what the explosions at the Russian airfield in Engels could be connected with .

He expressed his opinion on the air of the informational telethon. According to him, various incidents on the territory of the Russian Federation are an objective consequence of the war. Podolyak is convinced that such incidents “will be very, very many.”

“Everything that is happening in Russia today – and the number of excesses, and not only in Engels, is growing – is related to the loss of control over processes in Russia itself. The number of sabotages, unidentified explosions, fires at critical facilities, including in Engels and Diaghilev,” Podolyak said.

He noted that fires in Russia occur due to the fact that the country cannot get foreign spare parts, as well as expert advice.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on December 5,   explosions occurred at the Russian Engels airfield in the Saratov region and at an air base in the Ryazan region.

On the night of December 6, an unknown  drone attacked the airfield in Kursk , as a result of which an oil storage tank caught fire.

On December 13, a fire started on the territory  of the Zvezda plant in St. Petersburg . It is known that they produce engines for the Russian Navy, as well as generators and electrical substations.

In addition, Russian media report that 9 shopping centers burned down in Russia in 9 months. 

On the night of December 26,  an explosion thundered in Engels . The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the downing of a  Ukrainian drone  and the death of Russian servicemen.
