Zelensky charges Security Service to deal with Gülen’s followers in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky charged the SBU, Ukraine’s State Security Service to deal with the followers of Fethullah Gülen, the Turkish preacher suspected in the organization of coup d’etat in Turkey in July 2016. Zelensky said so during the joint briefing with Turkish leader Recep Tayip Erdogan.

There are Gülen’s FETO schools in this country, the Ukrainian President said.

“This issue has been on the agenda between Ukraine and Turkey for a while now. Today, I received very detailed stuff; facts, names… I passed all that information to the SBU chief who has to look into it”, he stated.

Units of the Turkish military attempted to commit a military coup in July 2016. It kicked off on late July 15, and by the morning of July 16, it was extinguished. 265 people deceased in action; about 2,000 were wounded. The Turkish leadership performed cleansing among the military and the judiciary system.

Currently, Gulen, the former close ally of Erdogan, lives in the U.S. Turkey demands to extradite him.
