Zelensky calls on Conte to close illegal office of ‘DPR’, ‘LPR’ in Italy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte general policy issues, including the closing of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” offices in Italy.

“I urged the Prime Minister to close the illegal DPR and LPR offices opened in several cities of Italy,” the Head of State told the media representatives, the press service of the President reports.

The parties also discussed the case of member of the National Guard of Ukraine Vitaliy Markiv imprisoned in Italy.

“I understand that the Prime Minister cannot influence the Italian court. But I showed in detail what happened there, at what distance he was from the murder scene. And that we have to take the guy out,” the President said.

Vitaliy Markiv’s mother thanked Volodymyr Zelensky for his efforts to release her son.

“We are very grateful for this visit. We are really happy. It is very important for Vitaliy. With such support, Vitaliy believes that everything will end well. He is ready and wants to return to Ukraine,” the woman said.

  1. It’s a good move to request this, which should not have to be done if Italy were a proud and righteous country. But, don’t hold you breath, Zelensky, for Italy is not a proud and righteous country. It’s one of mafia land’s little boot lickers.
