Zelensky called Putin a “killer without emotions”

Zelensky emphasized that if for him war is just a part of life, then for Putin “this war is his life.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy assessed Vladimir Putin’s motives, explaining the difference between his attitude towards the war and the position of the Russian leader.

Thus, in an interview with the BBC, Zelensky said that he had a long meeting with Putin in December 2019 in France. At the same time, the Ukrainian president emphasized that Putin is devoid of humanity, he is more of an emotionless murderer.

“He’s not a human being in the sense of humanity… You know, he’s just doing his job, without emotion, like a killer,” he noted.

Zelensky also explained that he and Putin have different views on this war.

“For me, my work is a part of my life. I really love Ukraine and I want peace. I want people to remember this period of time and respect me. That’s all. But this is only a part of my life. And for Putin, this war is his life,” the Ukrainian leader emphasized.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president said that Putin does not want peace and intends to drag out the war against Ukraine . He emphasized that “Putin is addicted to war and murder,” and only real force can force him to abandon such addiction.

He also said that the main condition for continuing negotiations with the Russian Federation will be the completion of prisoner exchanges.

Earlier, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Serhiy Kyslytsia said that Ukraine expects Zelenskyy to meet with the initiator of the war against Ukraine, Vladimir Putin, as soon as possible , as there are many issues that can be resolved only if the leaders meet.
