President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on awarding the Order of Freedom posthumously to Tigran Hovhannisyan and Mykyta Khanganov, who were killed by Russian invaders on June 24, 2023 in temporarily occupied Berdyansk.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Office of the President.
As the OP recalled, after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion and occupation of Berdyansk, the boys stayed at home. Tigran Hovhannisyan actively expressed his pro-Ukrainian position, which is why he was repeatedly subjected to pressure from the occupation forces: he was kidnapped from the house where he lived with his grandmother, subjected to torture and abuse, including electric shock and simulated execution, and arrested by representatives of the occupation authorities.
Mykyta Khanganov also did not hide his pro-Ukrainian position. In October 2022, the occupiers tried to arrest the boy, interrogated him together with his father, and later began fabricating a case of alleged sabotage on the railway and organizing house searches. The case against the boy was being prepared for trial and it was planned to sentence him to 20 years in prison.
“Tigran Hovhannisyan and Mykyta Khanganov were friends. The occupiers killed them on June 23, 2023. After that, a video with the boys’ last words was posted online: “That’s it, this is death, guys. Farewell. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!”
“After two years since the murder, the occupiers have still not returned the bodies of the murdered Tigran Hovhannisyan and Mykyta Khanganov to their families,” the Office of the President added.
Let us recall that in June 2023, it became known about the death in occupied Berdyansk of two teenagers, Tigran Hovhannisyan and Nikita Khanganov, whom the Russian authorities accused of allegedly preparing sabotage on the railway. On social networks, Hovhannisyan managed to publish a video in which he says : “Two for sure (this refers to shots at Russian security forces, – ed.). That’s it, this is death, guys, goodbye! Glory to Ukraine!”.
Subsequently, the occupation authorities of Berdyansk confirmed the information about the killing of two teenagers on June 24, whom they call “pro-Ukrainian terrorists.” Olga Reshetylova, co-founder of the Media Initiative for Human Rights and coordinator of the “War and Justice” direction, reported that the teenagers were killed by a sniper .
In July of this year, the Media Initiative for Human Rights reported that the bodies of the teenagers had still not been returned to their parents.
