President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded German Chancellor Angela Merkel the Order of Freedom.
The award was presented during Merkel’s visit to Kyiv. This was reported by the press service of the President’s Office.
As Zelensky said during the award ceremony, he is grateful to her for her long-term support of Ukraine in key issues.
Zelensky also noted that the visit of the German Chancellor to Kyiv on the eve of the 30th anniversary of Independence and the launch of the “Crimean Platform” is extremely important for Ukraine.
