The President heard a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, regarding the situation in the Kursk region.

In the Kursk region, near the village of Makhnovka, in the battles on January 3 and 4, the Russian army lost up to a battalion of infantry of North Korean soldiers , as well as Russian paratroopers. This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his evening video address .

He reported that he heard the report of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, regarding the situation in the Kursk region.

“In particular, in the battles today and yesterday in the area of ​​one village Makhnovka, the Russian army lost up to a battalion of infantry of North Korean soldiers and Russian paratroopers. And this is noticeable,” the president said.

At the same time, the president noted the Ukrainian military who are destroying the Russian occupiers. Zelensky added:

“In general, I would like to commend our Special Operations Forces soldiers and the 80th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade for their professional and effective actions.”
