According to the president, there is a clear understanding of how Ukraine’s defense capabilities will be strengthened in the coming months.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy , said that he is returning to Ukraine with good news, in particular, regarding the strengthening of the country’s defense capabilities.
“We have a clear understanding of how our defense capabilities will be strengthened in the coming months. I don’t want to talk about it in detail today, I think you understand why. But I am very grateful to President Biden for that,” Zelenskyy said at a joint meeting with US President Joe Biden press conferences.
According to the Ukrainian president, the main issue of his negotiations today is the strengthening of Ukraine.
“This is next year. This is our movement to win the war for independence. We have great news that I’m coming home with. President Biden announced today a new aid package for Ukraine worth about $2 billion, and the strongest element of this package is the Patriot complex – that , which will significantly strengthen our air defense. This is an important step in creating an effective air shield for Ukraine,” Zelenskyi said.
He emphasized that a very important part of the conversation with Biden was the coordination of further strategic steps.
“We talked in detail about what we expect from next year and what we are preparing for. This is important for all Ukrainians,” the president said.
According to him, they discussed the restoration of the destroyed infrastructure of Ukraine, primarily the energy sector, as well as further sanctions and legal pressure on Russia.
“During the 300 days of this war, we started a new stage of our relations – Ukraine and the USA, reached the level of real alliance, which is 100% filled with real content. I felt this today in all my meetings, in all our negotiations,” Zelenskyy emphasized.READ ALSO:

He thanked the American people and Biden for their support and understanding of Ukraine. Zelensky also expressed hope that the US Congress will approve a package of financial support for Ukraine in the amount of almost 45 billion dollars.
“Thank you for such great support. Every dollar of such an investment by the United States in the defense of freedom will mean a real and tangible strengthening of global security,” said the Ukrainian president.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy left Ukraine for the first time during the war for a foreign visit and is currently in Washington . He plans to hold a series of negotiations to strengthen Ukraine’s stability and defense capabilities.
At this moment, Zelenskyi’s meeting with US President Biden in the White House has already ended, as a result of which a joint press conference of the leaders was held.
At the same time, the USA has already announced today the allocation of new defense aid to Ukraine in the amount of 1.85 billion USD, which will include Patriot complexes for the first time.
