According to him, officially the partners explained the decrease in supplies by hostilities in the Middle East.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that he received a refusal from partners to provide additional anti-ballistic missiles . He stated this during a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.

According to him, the partners officially explained the decrease in supplies by hostilities in the Middle East. However, he suggests that there could also have been political motives.
“At least, we received such an official reason from our partners, primarily the US, but also European ones… I don’t know if there are other reasons besides the Middle East. Maybe these are political steps to make Ukraine, let’s say, more accommodating. In my opinion, and not without this. We understand that this is a serious challenge,” the head of state said.
The President emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense must, “grit their teeth and do everything” to ensure that partners increase supplies of anti-ballistic air defense systems.
“We should all do this… The military should destroy the enemy’s launchers,” Zelensky added.
US refusal to provide anti-ballistic missiles – what is known
As UNIAN reported, during a meeting in the Oval Office, US President Donald Trump rejected Zelensky’s request to provide three hundred additional missiles for the Patriot air defense system. Trump explained this decision by the shortage of these missiles in US warehouses. He also stated that Washington itself needs ammunition to protect American bases against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East. In addition to refusing to supply Patriot missiles, the US president is still hesitant about transferring technologies for the production of these ammunition to Ukraine.
Earlier, the president noted that this year the supply of anti-ballistic missiles from partners has significantly decreased. According to Volodymyr Zelensky, the number of air defense missiles supplied to Ukraine has decreased threefold compared to 2025.

So much for our promises to other nations, in particular the Budapest Memorandum. The breaking of our word and allowing Ukraine getting its people slaughtered at the whim of an evil enemy has shown the whole world that we can never be trusted again.
