Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on August 6 on the preparation of Ukrainian ballistics and the implementation of anti-ballistic tasks. According to him, the state expects to achieve the necessary results by 2026-2027.

According to the president, 10 states have now joined the joint European anti-ballistic missile system, the Ukrainian FREYJA program. Other countries are also expected to participate.
“Those partners who can really support. We have already agreed on this. I am grateful to all the companies that are ready to work within the framework of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition. These are leading European companies,” he specified.
Zelensky emphasized: Ukraine is capable of producing ballistics, and partners will help with the necessary components and critical elements: radars, sensors in particular.
“I held a meeting on the preparation of our ballistics and the status of tasks under the FREYJA anti-ballistic program… The National Security and Defense Council, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Ministry of Defense, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Brave1 team, and the most technological teams of the Ukrainian defense industry are involved in this work,” Zelenskyy informed.
According to the president, only a minority of countries in the world have managed to produce their own ballistics and a new anti-ballistic system. He emphasized: Ukraine has such an opportunity, because it has the appropriate scientific base and competencies.
“We can state that our weapons manufacturers have already reached the required level. We expect that Ukraine will achieve the necessary results by 2026–2027,” the president said.
In particular, the meeting discussed access to critical components, additional steps in technological cooperation with partners, localization of production, and work with partners on the PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles.

We have seen many important issues come and go, many vital weapon deliveries, ammunition, and so forth, but an anti-ballistic system is perhaps the most vital one so far.
Can 10 European nations come up with something that is equal to what the United States alone had developed … the Patriot system?
I think a much faster way is for those companies put under sanctions then for sure we will get the components quickly
