Zaluzhnyi would win election from Zelenskyy by large margin

If a presidential election were held in the near future, Ukrainian citizens would mostly cast their votes for Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Valerii Zaluzhnyi.

This is reported by Censor.NET with reference to the results of the SOCIS survey.

Citizens were asked who they would vote for in the presidential election if it were held in the near future.

Thus, 21.8% of respondents would vote for Zelenskyy, and 19.6% — for former Commander-in-Chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi. At the same time, 24.7% could not decide on a choice.

Among those who decided on a choice, 30.9% would vote for the incumbent president, and 27.7% — for Zaluzhnyi.

Sociologists also simulated a situation in which Zelenskyy and Zaluzhnyi advance to the second round and again asked citizens’ opinions.

In the second round, 41.4% would vote for Zaluzhnyi, 27% for Zelenskyy, and 15.7% against both.

The survey was conducted from June 6 to 11, 2025. A total of 2,000 respondents were surveyed in the study. Statistical sampling error (confidence interval): +/- 2.6%.

  1. As far as I am aware, the General has never aligned himself with any political party or ideology.
    Anyone know?
Once his views are known and understood, his great popularity might take a dent.
    Wiki :

“In May 2025, speaking by video to a technological weapons forum in Kyiv, Zaluzhnyi said “I hope that there are not people in this room who still hope for some kind of miracle or lucky sign that will bring peace to Ukraine, the borders of 1991 or 2022”

There is another General who did achieve a miracle; twice : Gen. Dmytro Marchenko. At the beginning of the full scale war, the putinaZis made a huge effort to take the absolutely crucial port of Mykolaiv.
Outnumbered and outgunned, the General mobilized the local population and won a famous victory. Then he repeated the same feat in his hometown of Voznesensk, in Mykolaiv oblast.
He retook almost all of Mykolaiv oblast and was involved in the successful operation to retake Kherson.
Mysteriously this hero was retired off at age only 47 on “health grounds.”

    • Sorry for entering alledged pro-ruSSian waters now, but putler must be confronted by a Ukrainian leader he MUST respect, so even people surrounding putler are willing to negotiate. The jewish piano man never was such person. Ukrainians are hopelessly outnumbered on the battlefield and desire more than propaganda. Zaluzhnyi is even more dangerous to putler than Nemtsov, Navalny or Prigoshyn.
