The formal peace agreement in Ukraine already has certain frameworks, and there is a real chance to achieve a result. And the agreement on Ukrainian resources will be signed a little later today. This was stated by US President Donald Trump at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We have reached a fair agreement and we look forward to its implementation, especially in the area of rare earth metals. This means that the United States will be directly involved, and this is a great commitment on our part,” Trump said.

He said he had very constructive talks with Vladimir Putin and the US is now trying to find a solution “that will suit both you and him.”

“There is no formal agreement yet, but we have outlined a framework, and I think there is a real chance to achieve this. The most important thing is the lives of soldiers. There are thousands of soldiers dying on both sides, and we want to stop that. (…) Your soldiers have shown incredible courage. We have provided them with great equipment, but someone has to use that equipment, and they have done so brilliantly. I have the utmost respect for your generals, your troops, and you personally – you have been brave warriors. You should be proud of them. But now it is time to end this war. We want to end it,” Trump said.

As for the agreement on Ukrainian minerals, according to the American president, it will be signed “a little later, after lunch, which we will have together.”

“It’s an honor to host you,” Trump told Zelensky.

  1. Everything was going ok until JD Vance opened his mouth and started with the Kremlin talking points. Zelensky answered by inviting him to Ukraine to see for himself. I still maintain that Zelensky should go ahead and let Trump lead a ceasefire so he can see for himself that Vladolf is incapable of keeping his word and then Trump would hammer him.

    • What’s the point? If the mafioso were to break the ceasefire, as they certainly will, Trump will accuse Ukraine of being at fault.

      • I understand your opinion but the military and the military thinktanks can easily detect who is firing and who is not. Try to be fair and open-minded, it will serve you well friend.

        • You will have to go a little deeper and explain to me what the difference is between the two scenarios; the first one, which is mafia land invading Ukraine from three sides with around 150,000–200,000 roaches, starting this massive war, and the other, which would be a violation of the ceasefire. I think we can strongly assume that everyone on this planet that has anything to do with think tanks, military intelligence, regular intelligence, journalists, international observers and every half-way informed politicians was aware of who attacked whom, yet the orange man child just recently accused Ukraine of starting the war. I suppose you missed that news, my friend. And besides that, any ceasefire will also have countless observers.

          • You said Trump will blame Ukraine for any broken ceasefire. Correct? And said there would be observers. I don’t see how our points conflict…minus all the nonconstructive political stuff of course.
You are also welcome to insult me about missing the news on my own website. It is a popular thing to do nowadays. So now I have become the enemy to those that are injecting politics into the war on Ukraine. Do you really think that helps Ukraine? Or are you insulting me just for fun? We have both had friends and family die in this fucking war, I would think you could respect that as I have respected you but I guess politics is more important for you. I would advise you to consider what is good for Ukraine first.

            • You are very thin-skinned, Red.
Anyhow, what you missed in my post is what I was trying to say about Trump … that he doesn’t need any proofs. He’ll blame Ukraine for whatever he wants to, if it satisfies his primitive brain. Proofs are irrelevant to him. A mere proclamation by the king must suffice as proof.

              • Pardon me for my thin skin, today was one of Ukraine’s worst days that I can remember the last 20 years. If you prefer to insult me instead of Putin, go ahead if it makes you feel better. I would think a person with my history and perspective would be welcome but I’m often wrong.

      • If you watched the discussions or generally knew anything about Ukraine, you would understand. You keep trying to offend me with your juvenile muses and still don’t realize I don’t care what you say about Trump. I have supported every US president through all this (some more than others) because I know who the enemy is and it isn’t Trump. The only reason you are here is for political reasons. That is not what Ukraine needs. Ukraine knows who the enemy is too, and it isn’t Trump. You are treading on this ice, Larry. Consider yourself warned.

        • I do watch the discussions, Sir Red, and I do know some things about Ukraine; I’m here to learn more. I’m not trying to offend you. I’ll admit that I was hoping to see you admit that you were wrong about “Agent Krasnov”, but if you saw the shameful display at the White House and still think he supports Ukraine, I give up.

It’s not at all true that I’m here for political reasons. I’m here because I support Ukraine, and I’m still here despite all your personal attacks (calling me a leftist, a troll, deranged…) because I find this site to be a good resource for learning what’s going on in Ukraine.

I think it would be the height of irony if the person who’s always complaining about “actively chasing away Ukraine supporters” were to actually do just that.

Whatever you choose to do, I bear you no ill will.

          • Most of your posts are about Trump or against what ever I say, refer to your original statement above. Yes? Did you know Ukraine was invaded 2 years before Trump was elected? I realize Trump is easy to hate, as was Obama (for me) in the beginning, but he was POTUS and our main hope for protection. I also realize I am a tiny minority here but my enemy is not any POTUS but the Satan in the Kremlin, laughing and spreading his wings. Laughing because he LOVES when Ukraine supports tear each other apart. Yes, I advocate for unity and welcome all Ukraine supporters but if you’re just here to shred Trump, you aren’t helping Ukraine.

            • “Most of your posts are about Trump or against what ever I say […] Yes?”

              No.

“Did you know Ukraine was invaded 2 years before Trump was elected?”

Of course – I’ve posted about Crimea a number of times.
