What is amazing, these idiots long for the Soviet Union. Is it my imagination but didn’t the Soviet Union represent the epitome of a shitty economy, oppressive government and no individual liberty. This is what they miss? This goes beyond stupid, like to see if there’s a scientific basis to think their DNA has been screwed with.
I think the most difficult problem for them to figure out whether the russians who buy into it, have been brainwashed by putin’s propaganda, or if they’ve consciously chosen it because they feared the attacks that would pursue them. This is not to say I sympathize with russia’s grasp for power, but to point out it’s worthlessness. If russians look at how much their society has destroyed itself, and they’ve turned their country into a vast wasteland of junkyard incompetence, then how can so many serious russians really allow it to continue? With every passing day, they live in failure and poverty-stricken weakness, being told by those in power, that it is the West’s “fault” for the mess they continue to let the russian leaders push down on them.
Surely, in a country of just over 142 million, there are enough dissatisfied russians to overthrow putin and look for a better leader if they really want to. They think that looting or stealing from more prosperous countries is the way to happiness, but if that were the case, then they should be one of the richest countries on Earth! How much wealth does the average russian have? Russia has plentiful supplies of crude oil and natural gas. I’ve heard that they have vast mineral deposits in Siberia. Nickel, the Kursk Iron Anomaly, and more. Yet, the ruble was performing poorly BEFORE the invasion, wasn’t it? Ukraine was, and still is, living far more better. Even with a current ongoing invasion.
Russians need to ask themselves, are they better off with putin’s “leadership?” He’s had how many decades to “improve” russia? Now he’s made all of russia into a laughingstock, the butt of the world’s jokes, probably even among his allies in china, iran, and north korea. I’m sure there’s plenty more laughs all around, about him. The russians must realize that their best hope for improving their lives, is to give up on putin and overthrow him, or at least to stop consciously supporting him. If you ignore a problem, then you’re allowing it to continue, as surely as a man with an infected man who does NOTHING for his injury, would die of gangrene.
