The Minister of Defense of Ukraine spoke about the failure of the so-called “plan” of the Russian leadership.

The Russian authorities want to protect themselves, their position, their wealth.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said this in a video message to the Russians on New Year’s Eve.

“On the eve of the new year, I appeal to Russian citizens who are liable for military service. First of all, this concerns residents of large Russian cities. I know for sure that you have about one week left, while there is still at least some choice. In early January, Russian the authorities will close the borders for men, then they will declare martial law and start another wave of mobilization. The borders will also be closed to Belarus,” Reznikov said.

According to him, today the Russians are thinking about how to decorate the festive table, but “during the chiming clock you may not hear a knock on the door – it will knock on the military commissar.”

Reznikov does not urge Russians to take his word for it, but says that they should ask themselves one question and answer it honestly: “When you go to war, where you can die or become crippled for the rest of your life, then what exactly will you fight for? ?”.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine spoke about the failure of the so-called “plan” of the Russian leadership, which they spoke about at the beginning of the war. And the losses of the Russian army already amount to more than 100 thousand people, and in order to compensate for these losses, one wave of mobilization has already been carried out, although back in the summer they categorically denied that it would be and deceived. According to him, according to this “plan” in the zones, tens of thousands of prisoners are recruited into a private military company.

“The owner of this company is allowed to wipe his feet on the regular Russian military. Although ordinary people are thrown into prison for “discrediting” the army,” Reznikov said.

He stressed that according to this “plan”, the Russians have been unsuccessfully storming the small Ukrainian town of Bakhmut for half a year, putting tens of thousands of soldiers there. He spoke about the flight of Russians from the Kharkiv region, from near Kyiv, from the Chernigov region and the Sumy region, from Kherson.

The minister said that, according to this “plan”, Sweden and Finland are completing their accession to NATO, although exactly a year ago people in these countries did not even think about NATO and wanted to remain neutral.

Reznikov stressed that those who sit in the Kremlin and the bunkers must admit that their plan failed, that they lost, and because of their failure, Russia has lost its prestige in the world: “People with a Russian passport are now looked down upon not only in Europe, but also in Caucasus, Central Asia. According to him, the Russian leadership has long understood that the idea of ​​a war against Ukraine turned out to be a disaster for them and “it is in Russia’s interests to end this war as soon as possible.”

“Those people who unleashed a bloody massacre, who committed terrible war crimes, are now telling you that you need to unite and protect Russia, because there are enemies all around. They intimidate you with the fact that in case of defeat all Russians will allegedly be massacred, they will take away what they have acquired beyond their strength. work, organize a tribunal, and so on. This is a lie. You are being deceived again,” Reznikov said in an address to the Russians.

According to him, the Russian authorities want to protect themselves, their position, their wealth.

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine said that the Russian government can tell that there is some kind of “plan B”, some kind of secret weapon, that soon victories will begin again, “but their whole plan is to drag out the war, to kill as many as possible people and drive the situation to a standstill.”

Reznikov said that not as a defense minister, but as a lawyer, he says that “all citizens of Russia will, of course, indirectly pay for the unleashed war.”

“Because of the current leaders, Russia will be forced to compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine over several generations. This is inevitable,” he said.

At the same time, he emphasized that those who did not personally participate in crimes, who did not incite war, will lose only part of their income and part of their comfort, but they have nothing to fear, even if they voted for the current Russian government.

“Only war criminals will go to court,” Reznikov stressed.

New wave of mobilization in Russia

Ukrainian intelligence predicts that a  new wave of mobilization will begin in Russia on January 5 to replenish the army. 

Defense Minister Alexei Reznikov said that the army of the Russian Federation will be able to recover from losses in the war in Ukraine in at least five years.
