Because of their war against Ukraine, Russia is quickly running out of money. There are now several indicators that things have reached a tipping point. Russia has lost the ability to fund military bonuses and pay in several regions, and they have simultaneously begun to sell off gold to curb inflation. The question to ask though is why didn’t Russia sell their gold sooner, and how much do they really have left that they can sell? When we consider everything, we realize that Russia is far closer to ruin than even they may realize.
