A former top official and People’s Deputy is suing the Pension Fund, trying to get more money.
An ally of fugitive Viktor Yanukovych, Minister of Health in 2012-2014, and former MP Raisa Bohatyryova is demanding an increase in her pension from the state.
As reported by ” Glavkom ” with reference to court registry data, as of March 2025, Bohatyryova received an old-age pension of UAH 21.8 thousand.

Bohatyryova demanded in court that her pension be transferred according to the law “On the Status of a People’s Deputy of Ukraine”. Previously, it provided that the pension of a former deputy could be up to 90% of the salary of a current one. At the time of the lawsuit of Yanukovych’s ally (2021), deputies of the Verkhovna Rada received a salary of 42-43 thousand UAH per month.
The Pension Fund refused to recalculate Bohatyryova, arguing that the rules for calculating pensions for former MPs have changed. Now their pensions are regulated by general pension legislation, which does not provide for a link to the salaries of current MPs.
The Volyn District Administrative Court sided with the Pension Fund and denied Bohatyryova the recalculation. It is noted that at the time of Bohatyryova’s appeal to the court, new rules for recalculating pensions were in effect, and therefore the former deputy’s pension could not be recalculated depending on the increase in the salaries of current MPs.
The court ruled that the Pension Fund acted correctly in denying the former MP her request. Therefore, Bogatyryova can appeal this decision in the Court of Appeal.

No UA pension money should be paid in the russia. Besides, she’s getting double what some real pensioners are getting.
