Over the past two months, the United Kingdom has supplied Ukraine with ammunition for air defense systems and artillery worth over 150 million pounds.

This is stated on the British government website , Censor.NET reports.

“Over the past two months, over £150 million worth of air defense and artillery ammunition has been delivered to Ukraine, amid increased purchases of hundreds of air defense missiles and thousands of artillery shells for Ukraine,” the statement said.

The statement said that this year the British government will spend around £700 million on the purchase of ammunition for air defense systems and artillery, including £150 million worth of weapons already delivered.

The funds will also go towards the purchase of additional drones, and contracts for the maintenance and repair of British weapons previously provided to Ukraine.

“As Putin has repeatedly carried out the most intensive bombing of Ukrainian cities in recent weeks since the start of a full-scale invasion in 2022, the UK, together with the US and European countries, is stepping up supplies of critically important air defence,” the British government said in a statement.

The British government recalled that in May London signed an agreement with Ukraine to provide additional military support of £2.26 billion, which will be repaid from funds received from frozen Russian assets. Two-thirds of these funds were allocated for the purchase of weapons and ammunition over a two-month period.
