Wildberries warehouse near Tambov completely destroyed following drone attack; residents urged to stay indoors

A fire that broke out on the night of August 26 as a result of a drone attack completely destroyed a Wildberries logistics warehouse in the city of Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, russian federation. Yevgeny Pervyshov, acting governor of the Tambov Oblast, has reported this.

According to him, a 19-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were injured during the attack. Russian air defense forces and mobile fire teams reportedly shot down most of the UAVs, but at least three attack drones struck the warehouse building directly.

Due to the massive fire and toxic smoke, Kotovsk Mayor Alexey Plakhotnikov urged local residents to stay indoors for the next two days to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Currently, the 108,000-square-meter logistics center has been completely destroyed by fire.

This is not the first strike on this location: on the night of July 18, the same facility in Kotovsk was attacked by drones, resulting in the deaths of seven people.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, drones attacked the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of russia, causing a fire near the oil refinery in Kstovo.

Also in russia, drones repeatedly attacked one of Wildberries’ main hubs in the Tambov Oblast.
